Carbide Forstner Bit Sets with hex Shanks

Since the discontinuation of the Forstner bits I used on my Peppermill DVD, I have been looking for a carbide set as a replacement. This set cuts exceptionally well in hard timbers like Cocobolo, Tamboti, Lignum Vitae, and Ebony, as well as Ash, Oak, and Maple. They are quick and efficient and can be resharpened using the Diamond File Set. 16  bits (eighths set only) come organized in a wooden case as shown. All bits feature a 3/8 inch hex shank for a non-slip fit.

“Eighths Set”
Includes size 1/4″ through 2 1/8″
in 1/8th inch Increments

“Sixteenths Set”
Includes size 5/16″ through 2 1/16″
in 1/8th inch Increments

If you make production mills, this set will complete the above set with the “in-between” sizes. You can always “scrape-up” a shallow hole 1/16″ when making one or two mills, but if you make mills in quantity, this will speed up the boring process and drill accurately sized holes quickly with much less effort. 15 bits (sixteenths set only) come in a wooden case as shown.
