Classic Salt Grinder Mechanism
(As Used in Ted’s DVD: Making a Peppermill Focus on Design) I use this salt grinder exclusively for my traditional style salt grinders….from my 4″ to my 12″ grinders.
The precision grinder is made from ceramic by Chef Specialties in the USA.  The adjustable top knob (for the style of grind) is embossed with an “S” denoting salt. Note: Five sizes of shafts are now available: 3 1/2″, 6″, 8″, 10″, and 12″—order by the height of shaft needed. The finished grinder will also grind any spice that can fit into the hopper besides salt.
