Chef Specialties makes these precision grinders in the USA. A spring mechanism locks in a consistent grind. The adjustable top knob (for the grind style) is embossed with a “P” for pepper. Note: Seven shaft sizes are now available. Order by the height of the shaft needed.

The finished mills will grind any spice besides pepper. I love to use one mill dedicated to crushed red pepper. When ground fine, the flavor and heat explode. Your garden variety of prepackaged crushed red pepper transforms into the lava of a spewing volcano!
