Sokolowski’s Premium Carnauba Wax Bar

$5.99$9.99

Premium Carnauba Wax

Pure carnauba wax is one of the hardest waxes known, requiring heat for application generated by the buffing process. Derived from South American palm-type trees, carnauba is non-toxic and listed as an ingredient in many food and pharmaceutical products. This is the wax I use on the Brilliant Finishes DVD in the first two chapters. The large wax bar is ideal for charging an all-flannel cotton buff and then applying it to your work, and you can use it directly on your work. The small bar is perfect for getting into the smaller details of your projects, like the tiny coves found on wine stoppers. Press wax bar lightly to apply the wax and move slowly across the surface using friction to heat and melt the carnauba wax onto the wood. Then with a soft cotton cloth, buff out the wax on the surface. The gloss finish that magically appears is quite impressive! I apply carnauba wax as the final finish on my peppermills, wine stoppers, pens, and coffee mills. I also use this same wax bar on the Beall wax buffing wheel when buffing out the final gloss finish. The results are stunning! Please note: you must start with a solid, well-sanded, prepared foundation for optimal results. The foundation is much more important than your choice of finish, as you can see on my Brilliant Finishes DVD.
