Antique Style Pepper Mill and Salt Shaker Set in Wenge
This antique-style peppermill mechanism is a wonderful working handmade peppermill. It makes for great conversation around the dinner table. It features cast metal working parts with bronzed housing. Peppermill size: 2 7/8″ x 2 7/8″ x 8″ tall; Salt Shaker size: 2 7/8″ x 2 7/8″ x 4″. This peppermill has one of the best range of grinds in any peppermill mechanism I have assembled. See additional photos of fine to coarse grind and everything in between.
The peppermill grinder is fully adjustable from fine to coarse with the top flat nut. The matching salt shaker features a stainless steel shaker cap and a rubber bung on the bottom for easy fill. I purchase this Wenge from a responsible exotic wood importer who focuses on responsible sustainable forestry practices. Wenge is a legume tree from Africa and native to the Republic of Congo, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Cameroon, Gabon and Equatorial Guinea. It has a very dark base with lighter colored highlights in the grain giving it a mottled appearance. I’ve added my signature copper inlay design to create a truly dramatic one-of-a-kind piece. I personally guarantee your satisfaction with this set. To maintain the beautiful high gloss finish on these mills I recommend an automotive-style paste wax with carnauba. The wax not only cleans but protects. (Please note: This antique-style peppermill should not be used to grind salt.) The mill/shaker set you see in the photo is the set you will receive.
